 Welcome to Made In Brazil
In Brazil, typical steak houses are known as "Churrascarias" (shoo-has-kah-REE-ahs). In this type of restaurant the specialty is "churrasco" (shoo-HAS-koh). what simply means barbecue (or meats roasted on a pit/grill).
Normally, the "churrasco" is served in a "Rodizio" (roh-DEE-zyoo). "Rodizio" is the method of constantly serving different cuts of meats (beef, pork, chicken, turkey, lamb, etc.) on skewers. The meats are served in succession to each guest, individually, right at the table. The meat waiters walk around with their sword-like skewers and knives, and slice or cut the meats off the skewers onto the guests' plates. At Made in Brazil, we are specialized in "Rodizio".
The "churrasco" cooking method originated in the south of Brazil in the early 1800's, with European immigrants. They were very skilled horse-riders that specialized in raising and herding cattle, what made meat become the most important part of their diet. These immigrants or "gauchos" (that is how they were called) used to open pits on the land and throw wood in to create the flames necessary to cook their meats. When the meats had finally reached perfection they would pull knives from their belts and slice very thin and tender pieces for everyone's delight.
At Made in Brazil we try to make the Brazilian "churrasco" and cuisine more popular, keeping the traditions and improving them as we can. Our goal is to have you enjoy an authentic Brazilain experience and get to know more about our culture and cuisine, leaving our house happy and completely satisfied. Here you will find some typical characteristics that help us to achieve our objective: relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, fresh and abundant food and a lot of fun!
Made in Brazil was born from the friendship of two Brazilians with the same dream: to have a place where they could bring all the good things that Brazil has to offer to the spotlight. With this dream in mind they opened Made in Brazil.
